Partyyyyyy time
So, yesterday we celebrated my cousin turning 40 this week. He invited his parents, parents-in-law, and sisters, together with my mother, brother, myself and some friends. Eet voz a lot of fun! There were a bunch of kids too, all kids of my cousins, girlies and boys. Their age is between 3 and 10, which always makes it fun to hang around them.
My cousin decided he wanted an Asian-themed party. So most of the food was Indonesian (and very tasty!). And there was also spiced layer cake yummmmiee!!! My oldest 2 cousins and myself really love to eat that and helped ourselves to it so many times, so it is good I went to the gym today!
So, today is a really short post. Watching movies and waiting for when I can go to bed again, just glad my cousin enjoyed his party a lot and that his sons did as well! When the kids are enjoying themselves, the parents usually are too hehe.
So, to all, enjoy the last couple hours of your weekend, even though it’s an hour shorter than normal
Nothing beats a good Spring cleaning!
I didn’t realise it was actually already Spring until I was talking to my Fiance earlier today. I told him how I cleaned the entire apartment and that it took me HOURS to get it done. And for someone like me that is quite an achievement, as I hate hate, double hate, LOOOOATHE (to speak in terms of The Grinch) cleaning. I think it is a waste of time, seeing as it is going to be messy/dirty again anyway. They should invite something that absorbs dust by itself so you don’t have to dust anything anymore!
Anyways, so having spent my day cleaning, so my asthmatic cousin will be able to stay over tonight didn’t leave me with much time left for doing anything exciting today.
BUT! I did manage to get some internet hours in and I have been going through all my favourite Youtube vids, and let me tell you, there are a lot!! But at the moment my favourites come done to these two:
So, with this I leave and and am heading off to the oh-so-healthy McDonald’s with my cousins and then off to a Musical (for you Dutchies: Ja Zuster, Nee Zuster) at the school I work at. Should be fun!!!
Have a great start of the weekend!
Exercise good? My ass!
So, they say or no better claim that exercise is soooo good for you!
Well, here I am on the couch, with the worst muscle pains in my legs ever! I have started cycling to work again after 6 months of being unable to, due to cold air and chronic bronchitis (not a good mix). So, now after 4 days of cycling for 30 mins to work and 30 mins back, my legs (and back) are finally saying: THAT’S IT! SIT YOUR ASS DOWN AND STOP DOING SHIT!
Another good example of how exercise is good for you:
*at the school I work at all the sporty kids have had injuries at least once since I started teaching there.
* My brother went snowboaring and broke a rib and now has a tear in his wrist, so he is in a cast for 6 weeks.
* My mother played volleyball and busted both her thumbs
* And how about all those “pros” who get injured all the time too, not even mentioning people dying in the field.
So yeah, even though I have to continue exercising, as I DO want to get fitter, I still think that the whole “Exercise is good for ya’ll” idea is waaaaay overrated!
Let me end this post by showing you a vid of my most favourite football bloopers ever! Enjoy!

Late New Year’s resolution
Well, it’s been a long, long, long, long, long, long time since I last posted anything anywhere. But I decided, what the hell, it is not like I am going out somewhere to party like a mothafucka, so I might as well just get back to my oh-so-forgotten blog.
My Late New Year’s Resolution is to try and blog again, maybe not every day, but at least a couple times a week. Just like with going to the gym, you need to find a routine and don’t always (in case of the gym, never) feel like doing it.
I have had this problem for quite some time. One moment I am all caught up in something and after a while the novelty wears off and I leave it for dead. It happened with: Judo, Badminton, Aerobics, Squash, the gym, my blog, some weird people and a bunch more that was so unimportant that I can’t even think of it anymore. I don’t know where this comes from and for how long it’s been going on, but I do know that it seriously blows to be that way. For instance, I can watch the same movies/musicals a couple of times a day, and then don’t watch them again for months, but that is just probably due to overkill. Anyways, I need to make my blog a habit that sticsks and doesn’t go away anymore.
I am going to work at that and at sticking going to the gym from now on. They say your metabolism starts to slow down mid-20s and boyyy, they didn’t lie, or I just started eating more, that could be an option too haha.
So!
*More blogging
*Less eating junk
*more exercise
Sounds like any other NY’s Res right?
Ciao!
